My Work:

Cinematographer -

With the film’s Director and writing being inspired by other Horror films, such as The Witch (2015) and Hereditary (2018). These films & others were studied to employ similar techniques & styles, such as lighting for spaces as to faces, utilising an old set of cinema lens that have flawed characteristics to give the film a more raw feel. Additionally - keeping the camera on sticks, so when scenes of intensity arise, the audience feels more engaged with hand-held and shaky camera movement.

Colour Grading -

Given I had both roles that work coherently, I was able to shoot with the exact colour grade in mind. Giving a punchy and contrast look that draws the audience in. Using a consistent colour palette of rich and deep colours, especially in reds, which plays a significant and traditional role in horror.
